Here Is Why People Attacked Chris Rock After Will Smith Apologised
Social media users attacked comedian Chris Rock in reaction after Will Smith apologised last night.
Yesterday, Oscar-winning actor Will Smith released a 5-minute video apologising to actor Chris Rock after the infamous Oscars slap.
The 53-year-old actor sparked outrage at this year’s ceremony after he slapped Chris Rock onstage after a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.
In the almost 6-minute video, Will Smith admitted that he reached out to Chris Rock and the comedian said he is not ready to talk. Smith then apologised to Rock and his family for the pain he caused them.
He also cleared the air and said Jada Pinkett-Smith never told him to go on stage and deal with Chris Rock after the joke. He then apologised to his family, the nominees for the award Chris Rock was announcing on the day of the slap and the people he let down.
Social media users have reacted with anger towards the video. The anger, however, is directed towards comedian Chris Rock.
They pointed out that this is not the first time Will Smith has issued an apology to Chris Rock and to the public. They however questioned why Rock has not yet issued an apology to Jada Pinkett Smith for the joke that clearly offended her and made fun of the condition she is suffering from.
They pointed out that at his comedy shows, Chris Rock has been speaking about the slap, but he has not had the decency of apologising to Jada.

Watching Will Smith’s video apologising for THAT situation and I’ma be so honest with you, he’s a better person than me because Chris Rock wouldn’t get one apology. Til this day, has Chris apologised for the nasty “jokes” he made regarding Jada that night AND before?

Will Smith did nothing wrong in my book. The fact Chris Rock is not ready to hear his apology but keeps making jokes about it every night and didn’t even apologize to Jada let’s me know enough the situation.
