In other news, iHarare reported that veteran musician Hosiah Chipanga finally agreed to go for DNA tests to establish the true paternity of his alleged son, Zim dancehall artiste Lancelot Chibwana.

Chipanga made a stunning about-turn on the matter after refusing to go for the tests for years.

33-year-old Lancelot alleges that his late mother, Memory Chibwana, introduced him to Chipanga as his biological son before she died. He further alleges that in 2005, he briefly stayed with Chipanga at his home in Dangamvura, Mutare. The two even worked together for five years.

Lancelot also insisted that he simply wants closure and is not interested in Chipanga’s wealth.

“I am not after his money or inheritance. All I want is a DNA test to clear the doubts he has over my paternity. I simply need closure.”
