Preschooler Buys Pegs For Her Mom, Mzansi Impressed

A preschooler has melted people’s hearts after she bought pegs for her mother during a financial literacy excursion at preschool.

The preschool took the kids to a grocery store to teach them how to do shopping. Each child got R150 to buy any groceries of their choice in the shop.

All the children exhausted their R150 and picked essentials of their choice. One child caught the attention of social media users.

Her father posted pictures of her, and he was impressed that she included pegs in her grocery basket.

Her basket had tomato sauce, noodles, yoghurt, sausage, and surprisingly, pegs.

He tweeted:

So my daughter creche went out with the kids to teach them a shopping experience. They allowed them to pick anything they want for R150. Check my daughter’s grocery there 👇👇. So I knew Nutriday might get picked and maybe Purity or fruits. But Pegs? 😂😂 I’m not understanding 🤣

@BabyGotBrains;

I love that schools are now teaching financial literacy in a practical manner. My 6-year-old daughter’s school had an entrepreneurship day yesterday, selling baked goodies & other snacks. She made almost R200 and had fun practicing her Math as well.

Yho my daughter was once given money by one of our church mates, and when they asked her what she was going to buy with the cash, she replied, “Ah ngiyothenga ikhabishi” 😂
