Patson “Chipaz” Chimbodza is a name synonymous with music promotion in Zimbabwe. Founding Chipaz Promotions in 2004, Chimbodza carved a niche for himself by championing both established and up-and-coming musicians. His company, Chipaz Promotions, remains a powerhouse in Harare’s vibrant music scene.

Chimbodza’s passion for music began at a young age, fueled by the buzz surrounding big artist concerts. This passion translated into action in 2004 when he rented a nightclub, named Club Chipaz. This venture would be the stepping stone for Chipaz Promotions, a company that would come to play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of many Zimbabwean artists.

One of Chimbodza’s hallmarks is his commitment to promoting upcoming musicians. He has been credited with giving a platform to artists like Sulumani Chimbetu and Kapfupi, helping them gain recognition on the national stage.
