How MaMkhize Made Andile Mpisane Dump Sithelo Shozi Over Infidelity Allegations
A few weeks after Andile Mpisane dumped his baby mama Sithelo Shozi and married Tamia Louw, it has been revealed that his mother, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize played an instrumental role in the drama.
Andile shocked South Africa in December when the 20-year-old Royal AM football club chairperson married 25-year-old Tamia. Many had been expecting him to marry Sithelo, the 27-year-old mother of his two children. The timing also caught many off guard, as barely a month earlier, Andile had bought Sithelo a luxurious BMW vehicle.
It has now been revealed that multimillionaire businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize was instrumental in ending Andile and Sithelo’s relationship.
According to a Mpisane family friend who spoke to the Sunday World, MaMkhize doubted the paternity of Coco, Sithelo’s second child with Andile and demanded paternity DNA tests. MaMkhize is said not to have been enamoured with Sithelo, to begin with. The source told the publication,
“She has always heard stories about Sithelo and her motives for dating her son.”
MaMkhize is also reported to not have been comfortable with the age difference between Andile and his baby mama. The two started dating when Andile was just 17, and Sithelo was 24. Sithelo was previously accused of being a predator who preyed on a vulnerable teenager, with sections of social media calling her “R Stelly” after disgraced US singer R. Kelly.
Following issues over the paternity of the child, Andile is alleged to have dumped Sithelo and cut off her benefits. He is alleged to have taken back the luxurious BMW her bought for her in November.
“Sithelo has no benefits anymore. MaMkhize is raising the child as her own,” added the source.
When reached for comment, MaMkhize insisted that she played no role in her son’s relationships and does not want to be involved in the matter. MaMkhize said,
“The matter has nothing to do with me, and I don’t want to get involved.”
Shortly after Andile and Tamia’s shock wedding, MaMkhize insisted that she has a good relationship with the mother of her grandchildren, adding that she would never choose a wife for her son.
In the aftermath of Andile and Tamia’s nuptials, MaMkhize came under fire from some sections of South Africa. Some people accused her of influencing her son to dump Sithelo because she allegedly did not like her. She disputed the allegations saying,
“I personally have no grudges or any untoward feelings against the mother of my grandkids. She’s given me 2 beautiful grandchildren which binds us forever and I will always consider her to be like a daughter to me.
“Nobody has been kicked out of any apartment nor have any kids been taken away from anybody. I remain committed to ensuring that my grandchildren grow up experiencing love from all sides and that they are well taken care of.
“As a mother it is my job to guide and support my sons decisions. And I would like it to known that I will never choose for him. I’ve lived my life and learnt my lessons! I will never take away the opportunity for him to live his own life and learn his lessons along the way.”
When Sithelo was reached for comment, she declined to say anything.
